It’s said if you ask a hundred Scots how to make stovies, you’ll get a hundred different answers. We set out with a simple mission; to bring back our favourite childhood stovies that granny used to make and serve her homely, feel good recipe at farmer’s markets and events in the towns and villages around where we live in Scotland.

We experimented with the recipe, adding lean diced steak and rosemary. We also developed an Arbroath Smokie and a vegan recipe too. Throughout the process we tested various breeds of potato (we have the best potatoes in the world in Scotland!) and worked closely with our local butchers to source quality ingredients with just the right flavour to achieve the perfect pot of stovies.
